Abstract

An acrylic polymer of polymerized monomers of about 55-80% by weight of an alkyl methacrylate having 1-12 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, and alkyl acrylate having 1-12 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, substituted or unsubstituted aryl methacrylate or acrylate, substituted or unsubstituted alicyclic methacrylate or acrylate, substituted or unsubstituted cyclic methacrylate or acrylate, a polymerizable vinyl aromatic monomer, vinyl pyrrolidone or any mixtures of the above monomers, and contains about 5-40% by weight of acetoacetoxy ethyl methacrylate and about 5-15% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated acid and the acrylic polymer has a weight average molecular weight of about 10,000-3,000,000 and a glass transition temperature of about -20.degree. to 50.degree.
