Abstract
A polymeric dope solution comprising a polymeric material and a mixed solvent as a solvent system for use in the preparation of an integrally skinned asymmetric membrane having a surface layer (selective surface layer) and a porous support layer, which is useful as a gas separation membrane, is disclosed. Also disclosed are a process for the preparation of the asymmetric membrane using the polymeric dope solution, and an integrally skinned dope solution prepared thereby. The asymmetric membranes according to the present invention show good gas permeability and high permselectivity.
