Abstract
A plate cylinder (1) for applying hot glue to a paper web comprises distributed circumferentially in a regular pattern a plurality of separate magnet units (22) oriented radially, extending up to its circumferential surface (18) and temperature-resistant up to at least 300.degree. C. which radially oriented outwards like the substantially tubular tool base body (15) are heated and serve to retain one or more separate, flexural letterpress plates.
