Abstract

Compositions comprising, in an aqueous vehicle, an abrasive system containing an alkali metal bicarbonate and a surfactant system, where the surfactant system comprises a non-ionic poly(hydroxypropyl ether) surfactant. Such compositions are particularly useful as oral hygiene compositions. These compositions may be used as, or for the manufacture of, a dentifrice in the form of a paste, a gel, a liquid or a chewing gum.
