Abstract

The main object of the invention is to obtain knitwork the density of which is not influenced by the tension of the previously formed loops (15). In the particular case of terry cloth the terries are hence particularly uniform and stable. This is achieved by operationally interposing the terry sinker (2) between two stitch sinkers (3, 21).
