Abstract
An ink composition comprising a dye containing at least one group of the Formula (1): ##STR1## wherein: W.sup.1 is --F, --OR.sup.1, --SR.sup.1 or --NR.sup.1 R.sup.2 in which R.sub.1 and R.sup.2 each independently is H, optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted aryl, optionally substituted aralkyl or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a 5 or 6 membered ring; and a medium comprising at least one of a low melting point solid, an organic solvent and a mixture of water and one more water-soluble organic solvent(s). Also claimed is a process for ink jet printing using the inks, a process for ink jet printing of textiles using the inks and a toner containing a dye with at least one group of Formula (1).
