Abstract

The present invention is directed to novel purified and isolated mite allergens possessing mite allergen activity with a molecular weight of about 94,000, about 40,000, about 16,000 or about 14,000 as determined by SDS-PAGE, which can be isolated from extracts of mite, and to a process for producing such mite allergens. The purified and isolated mites allergens of the present invention are useful as a pharmaceutical and a diagnostic composition for mite allergic diseases.
