Abstract

A region of light-reflective indicia is visibly illuminated in order to locate the indicia relative to a hand-held of a system for electro-optically reading the indicia. The region is formed by aiming optics and a light source for generating a visible aiming beam. The region can be single spot, a pair of spots, or a line.
