Abstract

The present invention provides a composition for extending the longevity of the fragrance on the skin which comprises at least one fragrance composition and at least one polysaccharide alkylether which includes at least two different moieties and at least one hydroxyl group substituted with a saturated C.sub.1 -C.sub.24 alkyl chain. The present invention also provides a method for extending the longevity of fragrance on the skin which involves applying to the skin a composition including at least one fragrance composition and at least one polysaccharide alkylether having at least two different moieties and at least one hydroxyl group substituted with a saturated C.sub.1 -C.sub.24 alkyl chain.
