Abstract

A dispersion of fine solid particles having good production suitability, good dispersion stability and high spectral absorption, which is obtained by pulverizing an aqueous slurry of a dye represented by general formula (II) in the presence of a polyalkylene oxide represented by general formula (I-a) or (I-b): ##STR1## wherein a and b each represents a value of 5 to 500.
