Abstract
A process for the direct dyeing of keratinous fibers, which comprises directly dyeing the fibers by contacting the fibers with a composition containing at least one natural dye and with a gas containing water vapor, the temperature of the gas being at least 75.degree. C. and the contact time between the gas and the fibers to be dyed not exceeding two minutes. The hair is dyed uniformly over the whole head of hair, from the roots to the ends, regardless of the condition of the hair.
