Abstract
The invention concerns a film-forming aqueous composition comprising a binder and an inorganic anti-static substance. The binder is in the form of a water-soluble polymer such as gelatin or hydroxyethyl cellulose free from any aluminum-chelating groups, and the anti-static substance is a fibrous inorganic polymer of the formula Al.sub.x Si.sub.y O.sub.z, where x:y is between 1 and 3 and z is between 2 and 6. Such compositions are particularly applicable to obtaining anti-static layers for photographic materials.
