A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an image forming apparatus includes a first frame; a second frame engageable with the first frame; an image bearing member; a process device actable on the image bearing member; an elastic sealing member interposed between the first and second frames engaged with each other, with the elastic sealing member locally compressed by a projection.
