Abstract

In a solid golf ball comprising a solid core and a cover, the solid core has a distortion of 3.5-5.0 mm under a load of 100 kg, and the cover based on an ionomer resin has a Shore D hardness of 50.degree.-63.degree. and a 300% modulus of 15-35 MPa. The ball offers a soft feel while maintaining the characteristics of solid golf balls.
