Abstract

An antistatic aromatic polyimide film containing from 14 to 50% by weight of electrically conductive silica particles coated with a layer of antimony-containing tin oxide and having a surface resistivity ranging from 10.sup.4 to 10.sup.12 ohms/square. The polyimide film exhibits excellent antistatic properties even after heat-treatment at high temperatures of 400.degree. C. or above, while maintaining good heat resistance and mechanical properties. The polyimide film can be used in various applications requiring good antistatic properties such as copier belts, space blankets and flexible circuit substrates.
