Abstract

A dental composition is disclosed which comprises a resin base comprising at least one brominated or iodinated acrylate or methacrylate monomer having a high refractive index of above 1.6, in admixture with a filler material which has a refractive index of .+-.0.05 of the refractive index of the said resin base. The filler material is radio-opaque and is apatite, hydroxyapatite, a modified hydroxyapatite, wollastonite or a powdered cross-linked polymer.
