Abstract

A method for controlling an operation and management subsystem in a signalling message exchange No.1 system, the operation and management subsystem including a user interface subsystem, a target interface subsystem, an operation control subsystem, a signalling network operation system interworking subsystem, an operation and management subsystem management subsystem and a data management subsystem. The method includes the steps of when the operation and management subsystem being at an idle state receives a message from the target system, converting the message by the target interface subsystem into a format for a selected one of the subsystems of the operation and management subsystem on the basis of a module identifier value of the message and then executing a control associated with the message by the selected subsystem, while when the operation and management subsystem being at the idle state receives a message from an operation and management worksite, converting the message by the user interface subsystem into a format for a selected one of the subsystems of the operation and management subsystem on the basis of a module identifier value of the message and then executing a control associated with the message from the user interface subsystem in the selected subsystem.
