Abstract
An N-substituted phenylcarbamic acid derivative represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## [wherein R.sup.1 is H, a (C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, a halo(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, a (C.sub.1-6)alkoxy(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, a (C.sub.2-6)alkenyl group, a (C.sub.2-6)alkynyl group or a halo(C.sub.1-6)alkoxy(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, R.sup.2 is H, a (C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, a halo(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, a (C.sub.1-6)alkoxy(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, a (C.sub.2-6)alkenyl group, a (C.sub.2-6)alkynyl group, a halo(C.sub.1-6)alkoxy(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group or a cyano(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, R.sup.3 is a (C.sub.1-6)alkyl group or a halo(C.sub.1-6)alkyl group, each of R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 is a specific group, and Y is O or S] which is very effective in controlling powdery mildew, scab, late blight and gray mold; a process for producing said derivative; an agricultural and horticultural fungicide containing said derivative as an active ingredient; an intermediate of said derivative; and a process for producing the intermediate.
