Abstract
Disclosed is a human TGF.alpha.-H1 polypeptide and DNA (RNA) encoding such TGF.alpha.-H1 polypeptides. Also provided is a procedure for producing such polypeptide by recombinant techniques and for producing antibodies and antagonists against such polypeptide. Such polypeptides may be combined with a suitable pharmaceutical carrier or diluent to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and/or prophylactic effects against various diseases. Also provided, are methods of using the antibodies and antagonists to inhibit TGF.alpha.-H1 for therapeutic purposes.
