Abstract

A water-containing composition containing a linear aminoplast-ether copolymer of the formula: ##STR1## where the divalent R.sub.01 contains a divalent alkyleneoxy containing moiety, Amp is the skeletal residue of an aminoplast, R is hydrogen, alkyl containing 1 to about 4 carbon atoms, and acyl containing 1 to about 4 carbon atoms, p is a positive number that is equal to the free valence of Amp minus 2, RO is bonded to alkylene units of Amp, and a is a number greater than 1.
