Abstract

A method of producing 5'-nucleotide, which comprises maintaining a nucleoside suspension in an organic solvent at a temperature not lower than about 20.degree. C., and then subjecting the resultant suspension to a phosphorylatipon of the nucleoside(s). According to the present invention, 5'-nucleotide can be produced from a nucleoside at high purity and high yield in a shortened reaction time, and impurity removal in the nucleotide purification process is easily accomplished.
