Abstract
Cyclohexylidene compounds of the structure: ##STR1## where X.sup.1 and X.sup.2, which may be the same or different, is hydrogen or a hydroxy-protecting group, and Y is --POPh.sub.2, or --PO (OAlkyl).sub.2, or --SO.sub.2 Ar, or --Si(Alkyl).sub.3. The compounds are used as intermediates in the preparation of 19-nor-vitamin D compounds.
