Abstract
Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having on one side thereof hydrophilic colloid layers including a silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one of the hydrophilic colloid layers contains a redox compound having at least one carbonyl group, wherein said redox compound is capable of being oxidized with an oxidized product of a developing agent in a photographic processing so as to release a development inhibitor, and wherein said redox compound satisfies the following Formulae 1 through 3: Formula 1 development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under a condition (A).gtoreq.4.5, Formula 2 development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under a condition (B)<15.0, Formula 3 development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under a condition (A)>development inhibitor releasing rate (%) under condition (B).
