Abstract

Process for treating industrial and/or urban waste comprising notably a drying stage, a waste thermolysis stage and a dechlorination stage by washing the solids resulting from the thermolysis. According to the invention, said thermolysis is achieved by direct contact of the waste with warm gases having a low oxygen content. The invention further relates to the plant for implementing the process.
