Abstract

Taurine analogues are used for scavenging active oxygen compounds and preventing and minimizing damage to the skin from ultraviolet rays. The taurine analogues have the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are as defined in the specification.
