Abstract

This invention relates to synergistic rust inhibiting compositions consisting of (a) N-acylsarcosine compound, (b) dicarboxylic acid having 6 to 48 carbon atoms, and (c) an amine selected from primary, secondary or tertiary amines or imidazoline compounds. Lubricating compositions containing the synergistic rust inhibiting compositions possess good antirust stability.
