Abstract
A system for calculating the dose at a point of concern in a body has a data section for storing data concerning the irradiated radiation and a contribution distribution calculating section for calculating contribution factors. The contributing factors indicate the degree to which the respective neighboring points in the irradiated body contribute to the dose at the point of concern. The system also has a density distribution data section for storing data concerning the electron density at the respective neighboring points in the irradiated body which receives the therapy treatment and a region classification section for classifying the respective neighboring points in the typical models or the irradiated body. A dose calculating section calculates the dose at the point of concern on the basis of the contribution factors, the data in the density distribution data section, and the data in the region classification section.
