Abstract

Bottles made of transparent plastic material or glass are subjected to at least one stationary examination device and further for detecting impurities or damage to the bottom, side wall or mouth regions of vessels. To be able to detect defects which may cause the bottles to leak, and which cannot be detected reliably by optoelectronic devices, the vessels are inspected additionally using a leak test by developing pressures.
