Abstract
A protective glove for preventing inadvertent needle punctures of a health care worker's hand is fabricated from shark skin or other such leather having a surface covered with placoid scales. The protective glove may be used in combination with a barrier glove fabricated from latex or the like. The protective glove is highly resistant to needle punctures, but is relatively thin and preserves tactile sensations.
