Abstract

Composite films have a layer structure comprising a base film, and a coating layer containing a vinylidene chloride polymer, a laminating agent layer composed of a polyisocyanate component and a polyol component, and a polymer film as laminated in that order on at least one side of the base film. The vinylidene chloride polymer is a copolymer having a vinylidene chloride content of 91 to 94% or a copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 7.5.times.10.sup.4 to 20.times.10.sup.4. By using such copolymer, the transparency and gas barrier properties can be prevented from decreasing and the heat-sealed portions from whitening. The base film includes nylon films, among others. The base film may also be a stretched or oriented one. The polymer film includes heat-weldable films.
