Imide-aromatic (poly)peroxyacids are herein disclosed, which have the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein A represents a residue of a substituted or unsubstituted benzene or naphthalene ring; R is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a COOH group or a COOOH group; and n is an integer from 1 to 5.
