Abstract

An impact element (12, 17), which is connected with a spring device (15), is tensioned through the feed movement of the package carrier rods (5) and, when a trigger position (23) is reached, will be released in such a way that a force impulse (I) is delivered in the direction of the nearest adjacent spindle (6), respectively a remnant package (2) or empty bobbin (3) mounted on said spindle. With that, the impact element transmits a force impulse, first of all onto a lossely mounted impact disc (19) which can be utilised with various bobbin formats and which protects the remnant packages.
