Abstract
A method for transporting live fish comprising the steps of cooling live fish placed in water to bring the fish into a dormant state, and transporting the life fish in a dormant state with an ambient temperature thereof maintained at -1.degree. to 10.degree. C. This method may further comprise the step of removing the water after the step of cooling live fish. By the method of the present invention, live fish can be successfully transported even when the transportation takes many hours. Moreover, transportation can be made at low cost.
