Abstract

A receiving layer transfer sheet comprising a substrate sheet and a transferable resin layer provided on one surface of the substrate sheet, wherein said transferable resin layer comprises a dye-receiving layer and a cell-containing layer and said cell-containing layer contains a cell and/or a foaming agent capable of increasing the thickness of the transferable resin layer by a factor of 1.1 to 4 upon being heated; and a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet comprising a substrate sheet and a resin layer provided on one surface of the substrate sheet, wherein said resin layer comprises a dye-receiving layer and a cell-containing layer and said cell-containing layer contains a cell and/or a foaming agent capable of increasing the thickness of the transferable resin layer by a factor of 1.1 to 4 upon being heated. A receiving layer transfer sheet comprising a substrate sheet and a transferable resin layer provided on one surface of the substrate sheet, wherein said transferable resin layer comprises a dye-receiving layer and a cell-containing layer and said cell-containing layer comprises a cell and/or a foaming agent having an average particle diameter of 20 .mu.m or less; and a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet comprising a substrate sheet and a resin layer provided on one surface of the substrate sheet, wherein said resin layer comprises a dye-receiving layer and a cell-containing layer and said cell-containing layer comprises a cell and/or a foaming agent having an average particle diameter of 40 .mu.m or less.
