Abstract
Preparation of an encapsulated slow-release particulate fertilizer. A particulate fertilizer starting material is pretreated for increasing its capacity of holding powderous material by adhesion. The resulting first intermediary product is coated with a powderous waterproofing material which fuses below the phase transition temperature of the fertilizer. A second intermediary product obtained in this way is heated to a temperature below the phase transition temperature to fuse the waterproofing material.
