Abstract

The invention relates to an insert for a warhead for producing a projectile by means of an explosive deformation of the insert. In order to achieve increased end-ballistic performances of the projectile formed by the explosive deformation of the insert, such insert is tapered at its peripheral region and has a flattened central region on the convex side thereof.
