Abstract

A conditioning shampoo containing an anionic cleansing surfactant, in an amount of about 5% to about 65% by weight, preferably about 5% to about 25% by weight, e.g., (C.sub.12 -C.sub.22) alkyl sulfate, and/or a long chain (C.sub.12 -C.sub.22) partially or fully ethoxylated alkyl sulfate, and/or a long chain (C.sub.12 -C.sub.22) alkyl sulfonate, and a copolymer of polyethyleneimine and a silicone in an amount of about 0.1% to about 20% by weight, preferably about 0.1% to about 10% by weight. The composition, provides excellent foaming, conditioning and stability, without settling of water-insoluble materials.
