Intermediate of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.5 represents a cyclic, straight-chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon radical having up to 12 carbon atoms, which is optionally interrupted up to twice in an identical or different manner by oxygen or sulphur, as intermediates for substituents on novel dihydropyridine cardiovascular compounds.
