Abstract
A splicing tape adhesive comprising 97% to 45% by weight of an emulsion polymer formed of from about 80% to 90% by weight of monomers comprising a major portion of at least alkyl acrylate containing from 4 to about 8 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and from about 20% to 10% by weight of a least one carboxylic acid, said emulsion polymer formed in the presence of anionic and nonionic surfactants to provide a polymer having a glass transition temperature of -15.degree. to -50.degree. C. in the presence of a chain transfer agent, from about 25% by weight of an acrylic polymer having a glass transition of less than -50.degree. C. and about 3% to about 20% by weight plasticizer.
