Abstract
Acylamino-substituted isoxazole or isothiazole derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## where X is oxygen or sulfur; R.sup.1 is unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl or phenyl; R.sup.2 is CN, CONH.sub.2, CSNH.sub.2, or haloalkyl; R.sup.3 is hydrogen or unsubstituted or substituted alkyl or cycloalkyl; R.sup.4 is alkoxy, unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, cycloalkenyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, an unsubstituted or substituted 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic radical or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl; haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio and/or haloalkylthio, and agriculturally useful salts of the isoxazole or isothiazole derivatives I, useful as herbicides.
