Abstract
A complex material of a hydrophilic polymer-silicate mineral comprising a carboxyl group containing hydrophilic polymer and a water swellable silicate mineral, and having a new absorption spectrum not existing in both starting materials in the IR-ray absorption spectrum within the range of 1000 to 1300 cm.sup.-1, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions comprising same.
