Abstract

A polyoxyalkylene glycol derivative which has at least one constitutional unit represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 are each hydrogen, a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a group represented by the general formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are each hydrogen, a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an alkoxyalkyl group having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, R.sup.7 is an alkylene group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, a substituted alkylene group having 3 to 5 total carbon atoms with an alkyl group as a substituent, or a substituted alkylene group having 4 to 10 total carbon atoms with an alkoxyalkyl group as a substituent, n' is an integer of 0 to 20 and R.sup.8 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms with at least one of R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 being a group represented by the general formula (II).
