Abstract
For use as a monomer for producing hydroxyl group-containing vinyl polymers, there is provided a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is acryloyl, methacryloyl or 4-vinylbenzyl; R.sup.2 is an alkyl; and R.sup.3 is an alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl or aryl.
