Abstract

Process for the preparation of optically active 4-(phosphinoethyl)-1,3-oxazolidin-5-one derivatives. The invention relates to a process for preparing optically active compounds of formula (IV) ##STR1## in which the radicals R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 ', R.sub.7, n and m are as defined in the main claim, which comprises reacting a compound of formula (II) ##STR2## with a compound of formula (III) ##STR3## in the presence of catalytical amounts of a radical former.
