Abstract

Polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene with modifying amounts of a perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) at temperatures below 60.degree. C. using permanganate or similar initiators by the suspension process and milling the raw polymer to an average particle size of from 10 to 50 .mu.m gives molding powders which are suitable for the preform free-sintering technique.
