Abstract

This application relates to a process for the preparation of indolylpyridooxazines of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are as defined in the specification which comprises cyclizing compound of the formula ##STR2## in the presence of a strong base such as sodium hydride or potassium t-butoxide.
