Abstract
An axial flow machine (1) having a rotor (2) that rotates about a fixed axis (5) the rotor having a number of blades (4), and a casing (3), radially surrounding the rotor (2). A turbulence generator (14) is positioned in a ring-shaped gap (9) formed between the tips (7) of the blades (4) and the inner surface (8) of the casing (3) to limit the sound emission of the flow machine (1).
