Abstract
Disclosed is an aqueous composition containing a quaternary ammonium halide wherein at least 75 weight % of the alkyl groups are C.sub.14 -alkyl groups, a C.sub.1 to C.sub.6 polyhydric alcohol, and a material selected from the group consisting of a C.sub.10 to C.sub.18 primary aliphatic alcohol, an ethoxylated alkyl phenol having the formula R--C.sub.6 H.sub.4 (OC.sub.2 H.sub.4).sub.n OH where R is C.sub.7-10 alkyl and n is 8-10, an ethoxylated aliphatic alcohol having the formula R--(CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O).sub.n OH wherein R is C.sub.8-20 alkyl or C.sub.8-20 alkenyl and n is 4-20, a polypropylene glycol aliphatic ether having the formula CH.sub.3 CHOH(CH.sub.2 OCHCH.sub.3).sub.n CH.sub.2 O--R wherein R is C.sub.8-20 alkyl or C.sub.8-20 alkenyl and n is 10-15, urea, a C.sub.8 to C.sub.14 fatty acid, mineral oil, and mixtures thereof.
