Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of organosilicon compounds containing carboxyl groups. According to the process of the invention, organosilicon compounds containing carboxyl groups are prepared in the presence of Bronstedt or Lewis acids at relatively low temperatures thus avoiding undesirable side effects of higher temperatures such as gelling due to crosslinking.
