Abstract
The present invention concerns a process for the isomerization of external olefins to internal olefins, the feedstock also containing diolefins, using a palladium based catalyst which contains 0.05% to 10% by weight of sulphur, said catalyst being treated before loading into the reactor with at least one organic sulphur-containing compound dissolved in a solvent, then activated in a neutral or reducing atmosphere at a temperature of between 20.degree. C. and 300.degree. C., before being brought into contact with the feedstock.
